sweet sixteen..
letter to my daughter's ~love from mom
.
prologue

i read, as i flip through the novel titled
Sweet sixteen.
your children are not your children.
they are the son's and daughter's of life longing itself.
_they may come from you but they are not from you.
and though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
*_you may give them your love , but not your thought
for they have their own thought.
you may house their bodies but not theirs souls.
for their souls belong to the house of tomorrow which you cannot visit , not even in your dreams.
you may strive to be like them, but don't seek them to be like you.
for life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday"
i was ablaze by the poem written by kahili gibran
kaii , i was highly impressed
yeah true! i nodded as if i was been ask to give an answer and said--
to be said your children are not your children..
your own as a parent is housing their bodies to get them trained and not thier souls for their souls belong to house of tomorrow which you cannot visit not even in your dreams."
