The thing about selfish and self-obsessed people, they use souls to fill the void in their hearts. Their high self-esteem is a reflection of all the souls that they broke. They will find you unimpressed and barely attached and that is when you become their next target. One day, they look at you like you put the stars in the sky and the next day they belittle you in a way where you are forced to question your entire existence. You wake up one day to morning texts and 7 missed calls, and the next day, they won’t even pick up the phone. They keep on leading you on into believing that you are more than a boost to their ego. And once they get to know that you’ve fallen for their act and the things you got to offer, their fear kicks in and they realize what they have gotten themselves into. Out of the blue, they will cut you off like you were nothing but a dot in their universe. They will leave you hanging and questioning what went wrong or how you could fix it ,and you’re not even worth a goodbye. They ignite a spark within you and then leave you to burn down to ashes. And what shatters your heart in to fragments is that you’re left mourning over someone who doesn’t exist, a character they portrayed to leave you obsessed.
