Mexico, The Caribbeans, Central America, and South America are all referred as Latin America. In case your wondering, Brazilians are Latinx and so are Haitians, but are often categorized as such because they don't speak Castallano(Proper Term for Spanish). Oh, if you plan on visiting South America and this maybe the case to in Cuba, but don't me on that. You must, and I mean you must NOT use the term "Spanish" or even "Espanol" when asking someone from South America if indeed they speak the language. I am drop dead serious, ok this is no joke and I promise you I ain't kidding. Trust me, my mom is from Colombia, if you think I am kidding, then I dare you to find and ask someone who is from South America if they either speak "Spanish" or "Espanol" I garantee it you'll live to regret, so always use the term "Castallano" asking someone from South America if they speak Spanish. Also, for many of you who don't know this Spain(Espana)has, I think six officail Languages including Catalan which can be found spoken in Barcelona. Will use the term Castallano, because that was the Official Language of the Spanish Conquerors and Colonizers. Remember, that long list up above of countries I said were excluded from using the term Castallano? Well, other than Brazil nobody including myself knows about their existant in South America. Because in South America it's all about the Castallano speaking countries. There is even the debate over whether or not Brazilian are considered Latinx, same applies for Haiti. Even I only think about the Castallano speaking countries heck, I didn't even know most of those countries existed until I looked it up just so could put factual and accurate information into this story. South America, it's about Castallano and nobody else, and there is slightest chance you be located in Africa and South America because of your name doesn't sound Spanish. But as whole as in the entire Latinx Community which consist of both South and North America as well as the Caribbeans. Just for clarification, Central America is part of The North American Continent, but is often is used as a Sub-Continent( FYI, even though geographically Panama is located in Central America and is part of The North American Continent, Panamanians actually identify more with South America than Central or North, because at one point in time before the early 1900's and the Theodore Roosevelt Presidency, Panama...
