Dear Nepotism,

You've been in Bollywood for ages now. Today when I sit back and think about Bollywood, some chosen families come in my mind. For instance, the Kapoors (Prithviraj Kapoor's family), the Khans (Salim Khan's family) and so on. It's great that the Kapoor clan and others have given us various brilliant actors, like Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, so on and so forth.

I totally agree that nepotism (at instances) have given us great actors, but we cannot deny that it has equally gulped the opportunity of raw and exquisite talent. Nepotism in today's era made me believe that "राजा का बेटा राजा बनेगा और ऐक्टर का बेटा.."

It's ok to have a highly reputed family and to make good chances out of it ( Like, Ananya Pandey and Alia Bhatt). But is it ok to mock a hard-working and a self made person? No, it's not. In 2018, when Raazi released, I was mesmerized at Alia's work and her efforts (equally enthralled by Vicky's performance), but when I saw her weird reaction in an episode of "Koffe With Karan", my views changed (I'm sure yours changed as well).

I'm a person, who likes Alia, Sara, Kareena, Karishma, Ranbir, Shraddha, Sonam. I equally admire Ayushman, Anushka, Ranveer, Deepika, Bhumi, Vicky, Rajkumar, Nawaz, Irfan, Sushant and many more. I admire all of them for their hardwork and superb performance.

So, I would say that real talent and hardwork must be appreciated, be it in Bollywood or anywhere else, because nepotism comes as destiny, hardwork does not. Respect and admire it.
