Long Gone
A girl around fifteen years old stares into the night sky. Stars glow everywhere making the earth light up. She looks at every single star thinking, "All the people that I have loved are up there." She lays down in the grass and listens to the bugs. She falls asleep.

"Mamma! No! Dont leave me!" The woman is fading away right before her eyes. Sad eyes, arms spread wide, still fading. The little girl turns around. "Papa, Please! Show up! I need you! I have no one else!" Her father shows up 2 days... good, one more you can do it. He doesn't show up the third day. He forgot about me. He didnt love me. He never kept his promises. He Abused me. I hate him. I have no one else. My uncle is an alcoholic and I have to live with him. He gets in jail and now I'm an orphan. Except I won't be in an orphanage. I will run free.

The girl wakes up. Great. Another nightmare of her life flashing before her eyes. She gets up and starts to head to a tree to get some honey. Sure, might risk getting a couple of bee stings, but that is the most common food that she has. After the honey she goes to get some water and look at the bee stings she got. Only five. World record for her. After drinking some water she starts to run again. Her life of running so no orphanage could take her. She ran until her legs felt like jello. she climbed a tree and sat on a thick branch to take a nap.

Same Nightmare. Once she woke up she climbed a little higher to see the view. Beautiful. Mountains. Beautiful mountains that look like they could conquer anything. Like her. Her biggest fear is being weak. Once she was very close to the ground she heard leads rustling. She tried to climb back up, but it was to late. A boy. He seemed to be running. Just like she had. He looked at her with fear. "Are you part of the orphanage?" He said. "No---Im running away from them." The girl said. The boy looked relieved. "Same, How old are you?" The girl hesitated. "...15" The boy nodded. "Same."

The girl came out from the tree. "What's your name?" The boy asked. The girl hesitated. "I dont know." The boy looked shocked. "Really? My names Jack. Did you never have a name or did you forget it?" He said. The girl then said, "I know that my na,e started with an A. My name is the least of my problems though. Running. That's what I need. I need to run. I have never not ran in a day." "Same." Said the boy. "Can we stick together? I've been kinda lonely lately." The girl did an immediate reaction. "No." The boy was shocked. "Why?" The girl hesitated. She didnt want to tell him, but she did anyway. "Because everyone that I have loved has died or have left me because they where either alcoholic or was abusive. I dont want to meet anyone else." The boy looked sad. "I won't die!" The girl looked doubtful. "You dont know that." Then she walked away. The boy followed. The girl let him. She didnt care anymore. "We're in danger." The girl spun around. "What?!?" The boy met her gaze. "We're in danger. I met with a man when I was little. He was my father. He said I would meet a girl when I was 15. He said that you would be the same age as me and you had forgotten your name. He was talking about you. I know what your name is. He said that once I met you that I to tell you that we are in danger." The girl looked confused. "What are we in danger from?" The boy said, "A man. I dont know who, but he is coming to kill us." The girl turned back around and ran. She started to cry. Once she was to tired to go on she played down in the field. "Why are you crying?" The boy said. "I know who is coming for us..... My Father."

"What?!?" The boy said. The girl nodded. "He was abusive to me and he said that he would one day kill a girl and a boy. The girl was me. The boy must be you." After that the girl fell asleep. The boy stayed up though. For a couple minutes he looked at the stars and then he found himself staring at the girl. He wanted to tell her her name is Amanda, but he didnt know what her reaction would be. He looked at her face. Beautiful. After nine years of bebeing in the wild, she was still beautiful. He decided that he should get a good night sleep and went to bed.

"AHHHHHH!!!!!" Screamed the girl. The boy woke up with a start. then looked at the girl with worry. "What's wrong?!?" He said. "Nothing, just a nightmare." The boy looked at her. He got up then went to a tree. "What are you doing?" The boy looked back. "Getting some honey for us." The girl got up. "I can do it!" The boy shook his head. Once he came back he only had TWO bee stings! When he noticed my shocked face he said, "What?" I just stood there. "Only TWO bee stings?!?" The girl said. The boy laughed as we ate the honey.

"There you guys are, finally." We both whip around. Oh no. The girls father. "Papa" The girl said in a whisper. The boy shook his head. "If you guys love each other oor something, I will only take one." The boy stood up. "I'll go." The girl stood up as well. "No, I will. I have nothing left. You do. I dont know why you ran away, but another family would want you. No one wants me. I have no one. Sorry." She picked up a rock and hit his head with it. He was nocked out. She walked away with the man and never came back.

The boy woke up. He was in a nice warm home. "Where am I?" He slurred. A woman popped up in front of him. "You're in my home. My husband went to go hunting and found you unconscious." The boy sat up. "AMANDA!!!!!"
