Let me in...
Let me in please
Let me in!
LET ME IN
Let me in - It always starts off nice and sweet and you don't notice anything out of the ordinary about it. You go along with it. You embrace it. You dance to it's tunes willingly.
Let me in! - There's a doubt sitting at the pit of your stomach making you feel uneasy, unsure and slightly doubtful. Is this right? Maybe this is wrong, maybe I should stop. Then something else makes you want to stay, it convinced you that it's fine and nothing bad will come out of it. It's not wrong, Relax.
LET ME IN - You feel depressed, hopeless and lost. Everything is going wrong. Your losing people in your life that have only ever done good to you. "Oh I knew it was wrong why didn't I stop why did I listen!" you whimper. They won. Everyone thinks your the bad guy. You tell them "I don't know what I was doing I don't know what got into me; That's all I can say."
Slowly, people start coming back into your life, you begin gaining trust again, you feel better, happier and peaceful.
"Don't leave me, let me in please, I need you and you need me..."
That's what ir wants you to think. Your struggling to hold back, but then you remember your Lord, your religion and you remember prayer. Unconsciously, you get up and do wudhu, you open the prayer mat and stand on it ready to pray for the first time in a while.
Your reluctant at first, but you realise why.
"Don't leave me, let me in please, I need you and you need me..."
It's clawing and gnawing at you at this point trying to move you away from the prayer mat.
أَعـوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْـطانِ الرَّجيـم
You whisper. 'LET ME IN' . You repeat it this time in a normal tone. 'Let me in!'. And now your saying it with hope and desperation, mixed with happiness and sadness. 'Let me in'. You can almost hear and feel it fading away as if a dome was being lifted off from your heart, helping you truly feel again.
If you haven't figured it out by now these 'let me in' are the whispers of shatan. It can come in many forms which can make it harder to acknowledge, recognise and put a stop to which is why you should always remain close to your Deen in times of ease and hardship and Insha'Allah Allah (SWT) will keep guiding you.
I guess this wasn't a story but perhaps you may take it as a reminder, lesson or even a sign. 🤲🏽🤍🤲🏽
