STILL WATERS
Grace was a cheerful young woman whom everyone loved to be around. She could make your bad day go away with just a smile, a great conversation or a genuine hug. But today, she seemed to have lost her sparkle. I noticed her coldness and how she absentmindedly sat althrough the amazing eye opening business seminar.
During the ten minutes break, we were encouraged to make new connections and everyone immediately set out to do that: you could see groups of twos and threes here and there, some eager to make a friend, others happy to reconnect with a one time colleague, another exchanging contacts ready to build teams for their entrepreneurial journey but, when Grace noticed someone walking towards her, she looked away and went outside. Just then, the convener of this seminar, called our attention to the start of the next session.
What is wrong with her? She is so good at hiding unpleasantness regardless of how intense it is. I guess everyone has a breaking point.
