It is sometime around October . I begin dressing up at 5 o'clock . Putting on that perfect red gown (sweetheart neckline , corset's a must , billowing huge skirt ) , a pearl necklace , hair open , flowing in waves , cluchted at the back by a silver daisy pin , a silver cover lazily slung around my shoulders .
The bell rings . Someone opens the door . I hear voices . You walk inside , greeting my mother . I finally put on my shoes . Someone knocks on the door . I get up , check myself in the mirror . Ready . I open the door . You are standing outside . Handsome . Almost perfect , except for the scar above you right eyebrow . Dressed in a black tuxedo , a tie and a white shirt . Classic beauty .
You smile at me , a strange glint in your eyes . You come forward . Just then my mother comes out from the kitchen . She is beautiful in a green gown ( decent ) . You pull back . I swallow a laugh . She sees us , smiles , then retreats back . You come closer , extending you hand . I place mine in yours . You kiss my hand , just a small brush of lips . My skin tingles . You grin . Douche . I grin back .
Dad comes out of the bedroom , gorgeous in a grey suit . He has a camera in his hands . We stand close together . You place your hand on my hip . I snake mine around your waist , resting my head on your shoulder . We smile at the camera . Sheepishly.
We change sides . I place my hand on your stomach , yours around my waist . Then , you whisper something in my ear . A private joke . I am astounded . Eyes wide , I look at you you at me . We giggle . Dad clicks pictures . He is smiling .
I check the time . It's late . We need to get going . We go outside . It's chilly . I pull the cover closer . You open the door to the car . I get in . You climb over the other side . You look happy . I feel content . I look at you and smile , you place your left hand on my thigh and steer the wheel with the other . I feel content and I close my eyes .
