Gary Dant (Redman) was a successful business man, but before that he was an orphan his mother and father died in a car accident when he was 2 his parents didn’t have any other relatives around so he was placed an a orphanage. 3 years later on his 5th birthday he was adopted by Mr. & Mrs. Redman they loved him very much, but was really tough on him. They wanted him to be nice & polite and he had to help out around the house. After school he had many chores to do after he did his homework. Mr. & Mrs. Redman lived on a farm way out in Texarkana . Well one Saturday Mrs. Redman needed to go to town to get some groceries, Mr. Redman had a job to do so Gary went with her to get some groceries. They walked into town and they went to the store. Mrs. Redman told Gary I’m going to get the eggs & things go over there and get some candy she gave Gary $0.25 cents back then that was a lot of money. So Gary went and read the sign it said 2 candies for 25 cents, he grabbed 2 candies but he thought to himself he wanted more, so he looked around too see if the store clerk was looking and saw she was talking to another lady so he grabbed a handful of candies and put them in his pocket. Mrs. Redman walked up too him and asked him if he was ready and Gary said yes ma’am. They paid for everything and they left. Gary was really happy that he had a bunch of free candies in his pocket. but what he didn’t know was that Mrs. Redman saw him do it, she didn’t say anything to him but she wanted to teach him a lesson. So they sat by the water so he can see the ducks & eat his candy. after he finished his candies they sat there watching the ducks and Mrs. Redman said Gary I saw you take a handful of candies at the store why? Gary said because I wanted more 2 wasn’t enough. Mrs. Redman replied 2 is enough, enough is a enough. don’t you ever do it again. Gary never did that again he listened to Mrs. Redman. Gary stayed in Texarkana til he graduated high school. Mrs. Redman passed away a year ago so it was just Him & Mr. Redman. A few years later Mr.Redman passed away. Gary sold the house and moved to Colorado to go to college. Gary became a Successful business man and he taught others the saying that enough was enough. He missed Mr & Mrs. Redman they were the best.
