Pick your Poison-Chapter 24: Party time
Ziesha:

"I still don't get why your dad would go ahead with this party," Emily switched channels on the remote in Ziesha's room while voicing her thoughts. "Yeah, I mean was that even necessary?" Andrew started now. "And are you sure taking Caleb is a good idea?"

Ziesha fiddled with the frill on her pillowcase. "Caleb asked if he could come. How could I say no?" "And Dino too?" Emily raised her brows, "Look, I just don't see why he should be there. He's not like Caleb. You can tell Caleb not to create a scene and he would listen. Dino would not." Ziesha wondered how did they all know Dino so well. She didn't even pick up so much information on him yet spent a lot of time in his presence.

Okay so she hadn't told her two best friends the full story about the real reason behind Randal's imprisonment. According to Mia, the fewer people that knew, the better. Besides, the whole thing was pointing towards Dino and she just felt bad for the guy. Well, she wouldn't have if it hadn't been for Caleb's confessions about what he thought about it.

"I just don't think that we should put it out there that it's all Dean's fault," he had said her, sometime after they went back to his house to try and find something useful they could use as evidence. "But it is his fault." "I know love but Dean's been through a lot. You can't even imagine what his life was like. We privileged remember? He wasn't."

She hadn't thought of it in that way, still didn't but that didn't mean that she didn't feel sympathy towards him. "Caleb, he killed someone. That is...bad. People don't just get away with murder." "Can you not say it in that way Zie?" His defending methods for Dino had surprised her. She knew they were close but she didn't guess that he was willing to sacrifice his father's life for his friendship. "Dino had his reasons. He didn't just kill someone for no reason and I don't want you or your sister pinning this whole thing on him. If anyone, blame me. I left my phone in your father's office, it was my mistake otherwise Dean and my father would all be fine."

So she dropped the subject, deciding not to push it and create a fight for no reason. It wasn't even her fight anyway.

"Dean is Caleb's brother and he would need someone if I'm busy entertaining guests," she told both Emily and Andrew. "Zie, you playing with fire. The party's gonna be surrounded by media. They gonna see you with Caleb and make up fake stories."

Meera had said the same thing. She too, was also against her bringing Caleb along. And no one was considering her side. Caleb was her boyfriend, he should be invited to any of the parties thrown at her...
