Lost Childhood 3
There was a different van parked on the street where the girls played the next day. This time there was a lot of activity going on; three men frequently went back and forth between the house it was parked in front of.

It was an electrical company van and the men were in dark green uniforms. They carried boxes and bags in the house. They also carried what appeared to be toolboxes. The home didn’t seem to be occupied; the men entered and exited freely.

The only markings on the white van was the word electrical in green matching the men’s overalls. After unloading the men returned to the van got in it and drove off. Really nothing usual about their activity or behavior; just a company on assignment at a house on any given day.

What was unusual is that as soon as one vehicle pulled off another arrived. Maybe it was just coincidental; it was the same van from the day before. It parked in the same spot. Again, no activity, it just parked and sat there. No one got in or out.

Emily and Martina continue their game from the day before until it began to rain. As it continued, it slowly washed away the chalk, creating a watery rainbow as the girls sat on the porch watching their colorful stream wash away.
