Waking up to that message alone made my day

I felt butterflies in my stomach.

What I have always longed for is been placed before me, all in a platter of gold.

Yes, yes , yes yes, I typed and shouted simultaneously.

I couldn't bottle up my emotions.

Omo, na to go change my status to "In a relationship" on facebook.

The sound of message notification from my phone knocked me out from my world of fantasy.

I guess she must have replied.

I was right it was from her, but I saw what I didn't expect.

"My female best friend wanted catchy line to use on a guy she admires. Since you are a guy you definitely knows what guys love to hear. Hope the message I sent was good enough".

I was confused

Multiple thought ran in my head.

Still in my thought , I heard another message popped in.

It was from her.

I got it all wrong . The message earlier wasn't in anyway directed to me.

Network delayed the message so both didn't enter my phone the same time.

In another voice note she said " Chris , I never knew you had feelings for me. I also did but buried that feelings since you never spoke up. I didn't want to ruin our friendship. Yesterday Peter asked me out and I agreed. We are now dating"

My body became too heavy for my legs so I sought for support from the door.

I have been served Breakfast in bed even before I woke up.

I have been deported back to the " Single men world" even before I reached my destination

In a space of just 10 minutes, I was back to being a single boy.
