NO STORY BUT AN ALARMING POINT TO PONDER UPON MENTAL HEALTH #RIPSUSHANTSINGHRAJPUT
Mental health in our country is one of the most neglected and stigmatized problems, not only in the society but also in the Medical Healthcare System.
Today, we all have been shocked, because of Sushant Singh Rajput's sudden demise, accounted to mental health issues, he was going through.
And every social media platform today, has been flooded with the condolences towards him or his family. This is a ceremonial obligation in today's virtually hyper-interactive world. And the fact is that this won't bring him back to life.Today everyone is talking about him, and after a few days we all will again return to the humdrums of life, and forget the real issue.

*POINTS TO PONDER UPON:

I request all of you to kindly think once that these posts and statuses will not change the situation, they won't bring the dead to life, but instead create problems for those who are really going through mental health challenges at this moment.
The news of suicide of a young, popular and dynamic star might trigger negative emotions in those who are under depression and other mental conditions. And those who will be impected by such won't even become a headline like this.
Because condolences expressed on natural deaths, validate ones emotions for death is an inevitable truth. But news of suicide in different emotionally exhaustive ways might turn things into its worst. So, kindly think once, you might understand the threat.

Instead, I request you to kindly understand the alarming situation and bring certain things into praxis:

#WHILETREATINGOTHERS:

1. Practice EMPATHY instead of JUDGEMENT.
2. If someone seems beyond usual, reach out to him/her.
3. Lend your ears and kind listening to the one.
4. If you are not able to understand his/her situation, do not invalidate their views.
5. Ask for Medical help, for the person who is suffering.

#WHENYOUARESUFFERING:

1. It takes a lot of courage to talk about such issues, but still be expressive to someone close or to your family.
2. Channelize your emotions: write, paint, shout, scream, cry or weep. Do the hell, whatever helps you to release your negative emotions.
3. Create a safe site, and spend time with your loved ones.
4. Rather than thinking that nobody will understand, just reach out for help. There are chances of getting hurt but equally to have someone with a kind and understanding heart.
5. Reach out to mental healthcare services.

TAKE THE BEST CARE OF YOURSELF AND YOUR LOVED ONES' MENTAL HEALTH!!

AND JUST REACH OUT, TALK ABOUT IT AND LAY BARE YOUR ANXIETIES AND VULNERABILITIES!!
