Pain shooting in my brain
My soul is inflamed
Being a lesbian is a major pain,
Hard getting respect within our own community
We’re judging each other harder than those who despise us
Going against the fight for equality
These superficial circles
All too nauseating...
Complicated being cool with most men
They don’t accept we like what they do
Stop hitting on us and respect the fact that we love women too...
My head is pounding
Blurred lines in my vision
Some family members don’t respect our decision,
Heterosexual women thinking we want them
Just chill out...I don’t even like femmes...
It’s harder being in love with another woman
The persistent need to prove our love for one another,
Being a lesbian is not a choice
I’m chasing a lifestyle that was birth,
Despite this constant migraine
My infinite love for women is worth the pain...
