My Last Walk with My Father...
#WritcoStoryChallenge
The sun was setting in the horizon. I watched it and wondered should I walk towards it or wait back.
It turned out to be shortest day for me which was contrary to what I thought.
After the cremation ceremony of my father I just walked a mile along the sea shore in solitude, Dealing with an unwanted delimma about following the sun till horizon or waiting back; A voice of my father echoed in my subconscious mind:
"Son never attempt to follow the falling light. Remember black contours the most vivacious white..
Remember the fading light you willing to follow is not brighter then one that will rise tommorow...
Remember sun ain't goin anywhere; It's just it won't be visible to you...this is how it works with your dear ones as well...
I am not with you physically but my son I am not goin anywhere either.
But if you'll embrace solitude; You won't be able to accept me in new form i.e. my experiences and life building a flyover embedding mistakes I can prevent you from.
My son don't let your grief misguide you..I lead a very happy life with you...But you need to understand you still have one to live...I am leaving your hand to embrace your soul..
I am tired and out of colors; Let me relax and watch out how you paint paths for our family.
Don't let my end bother you; our journey is a relay race ...You are incharge of the baton of our family.
I am setting in with the sun in horizon but will return as a moon rise son. Don't follow wait back"
"Daddy See I can see the moon" utters my son...
I lifted him up and and resumed my part of lifecourse.🙂
