A painful freedom... chapter 1
I still remember that day when me and many children in my city were sent away from home to live in this countryside; because at that time there were battles and there were going to be attacks in our city too and because this place was very far from the city, we were sent here so that we stay safe. But our parents did not know that we would be tortured a lot here. Before the sun rose, we were sent to work in the fields. We had to work there for seven to eight hours. We were also given food only twice; in the afternoon and night. If a child made a mistake or did not complete the work on time, the owner of the house beat him a lot and punished him severely. But the biggest punishment was when a child broke something in the house, the owner of the house locked him in a dark room for a week and kept him hungry. After all, some children even tried to run away but were caught everytime. Sometimes I too thought to leave this place but where would I go by ran away. But I was forced when I was broken the owner's favourite glass bottle; and when he beat me a lot and locked me in a dark room for a week. But I did not cry because I knew that it was my fault and that such a mistake is punished toughly here. I could spent a week hungry there, but I got scared when on the last night of the punishment I heard two servents talking that I would be beaten a lot by the owner and may be he would sell me to someone. I was so scared that I couldn't understand what to do. I thought it would be okay to run away from here...
