Jesus and the 7th Commandment
7th commandment 7️⃣
Against fornication:
Deuteronomy 5:18
[18]Neither shalt thou commit adultery.

Jesus declared that fornication, adultery and lewdness takes place also in the heart:
Matthew 5:28
[28]But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

He identified a spiritual sin that triggers a physical sin, but it starts with the eyes:
Matthew 6:23
[23]But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Jesus allegorically said than even an incomplete, but consecrated body can enter heaven:
Mark 9:47
[47]And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

He knows that the former will be restored to a better condition, but the latter is doomed for destruction:
Matthew 10:28
[28]And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Jesus made His body a spiritual temple of God:
John 2:20-21
[20]Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
[21]But he spake of the temple of his body.

He taught to sanctify our bodies against lust because God lives in us through the Holy Spirit:
John 14:19-20
[19]Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
[20]At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
