The Waterfall of Horses

The first place I highly recommend is the Waterfall of the Horses, what is located at an altitude of 1300 meters, in the North-East part of the Rodnei mountains.
The name of this natural monument was chosen after a legend in which is said that a herd of horses sprouts by bears jumped into the abys and after that the shepherds would have shed the tears that which gave birth to the waterfall.
This one is considered the biggest waterfall from Romania, following the fall of the water from a height of 90 meters. The source of this overflow is the slip from the steep slope of the Bad Stone Reservation of the melted snow and abundant rainfalls gathered in a glacial circular formation thus overflowing over the Horse Bridge in several steps with successive falls.
The Waterfall of the Horses can be access very easy using the chairlift from the sky slope of the tourist resort Borsa to the top of the sky slope. From there you have to walk for 30 minutes to the base of waterfall. It is another way, this being the forest road marked with a red triangle, it isn’t a complicate but that it can take 2-3 hours, the distance being 8 kilometers, which of 5 kilometers can only be travelled by car.
