Shawn couldn't help but feel amused thinking about this was the second time he had sat on a church pew beside Kelsey due to a "deal."
This time it was much different in a good way.
He didn't feel completely uncomfortable; the room full of people weren't all dressed as if going to a royal ball like the ones in Virginia had.

It might have also helped that he had lunch with the pastor before attending.

The excitement on Gabe's face as he walked inside beside Kelsey was obvious.
This helped his little doubt for coming at all even if it was benefiting him afterwards.

"We're going to be mostly in Philippians 4 this morning. For those of you that don't know I tend to stray a little bit but I always get back to my main point or God's main point should I say?"

Hearing Gabe's backstory amazed Shawn that this man was standing in front of a congregation when he was once farther from God than maybe Satan himself.

"I think verse 7 'And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, applies to me especially well when I get the privilege of preaching God's word. It definitely passes all my understanding why I'm still permitted to breath. That's the love of God, ladies and gentlemen.

Shawn looked over to Kelsey who had already placed her open bible in between them.
