Going to his hometown was something that young Akash always looked forward to. He would dearly await the onset of summer vacations not only because it marked the long break from the “tiresome and boring school”, but also because his family would go back to their home village of “Narogam”.

Home to around 800 residents, Narogam is a tiny village located around 150 km away from the city of Dharamshala. Despite being in close proximity to the Tibetan-Buddhist hub which is Dharamshala, the people of Narogam still practiced their ancient forest culture. The Majority of the villagers of Narogam are Hindu by faith. Hidden behind the Shivalik hills of varying heights, Narogam is truly blessed with immense beauty.
