In the late hour of the night the president of Nigeria Mr Ahmdu Dogara was awaken from his sleep by a sudden ring on the phone.
'Mr President!' Hello minister Joshua Aboki?
' the caller!' Gud evening mr president. Sorry to have disturbed you this late hour of the night.
'Mr President!' Is ok go on, is there any problem?
' minister of Defence!' Yes sir; there seems to be a conflict between the community of wukpe and the community of yalwa over a plot of land in kodope state.
'Mr President!' OK. What measures have you taken to calm the situation right now
'Minister of Defence!' I have sent the armies to calm the situation and some senior officers to talk to the rulers of the two communities, sir.
' mr president!' Ok that is impressive, keep up the good work i will be with you in a short while.
'Minister of Defence!' Ok sir! He replied and hang on the phone.
The president not wanting to wake his wife from sleep, wrote a note and kept it on the table and left in a frustrated stated with his convoys and headed towards the communities. So many thought came across the mind of the President while on their way to the communities were the conflict was taking place. He thought of how gone were those days were a gbagyi man and an Hausa man will eat from thesame plate and how peaceful it was he said' were each of us were our brother's keeper in a situation were by what touches me, touches my neighbour and what touches my neighbour touches me. What went wrong the President said to himself in a low calm voice with no answer.
By now they were close to the communities but the place was as quite as a grave yard with no sign of any conflict.it seems everything is under control, the president said to himself accompanied by a sweet smile of ease. After traveling on the road for about an hour, soon they arrived at the communities. The president was very please to see the situation under control as he had expected earlier. Without wasting much time after receiving the report from the minister of defence and some high ranking officers of the army that were present, about the conflict that took place earlier, he called the attention of the two rulers of the two communities Mr Shekwodiza luka and Mr Adamu Babangida, together with their kins men and advise them on the need for peace and unity not only in the society but in the country as a whole, he further went ahead and urged them on the need to keep aside all sorts of differences and join hands to move the country forward.after the president had finished addressing them. They thanked him and he left.
By now it was already six o'clock in the morning and it took them just one hour forty five mminutes to travel back from wukpe and yelwa communty to the presidential villa. when the president got home, his wife the first lady Mrs Naomi Ahmadu was already awake. She greeted him and asked one of the servants Yemi John to prepare a cup of tea for him. The servant did as she was asked and left the two of them alone and the following conversation issued between them.
'First lady!' Honey i saw the note you left for me on the table, so how did it go?
'President!' Fine sweet heart. Everything worked out as expected
'First lady!' Ok honey, I know you must be very tired.
'President!' Yes sweet heart am really very tired, I think I need to get some re-st without finishing the statement his phone started ringing. Excuse me sweet heart is a call from the vice president. Hello? Mr Patrick kayode.
'Vice president!' Hello? Good morning your Excellency. I just called to remind you of the meeting with the senators today on how to tackle corruption.
'President!' Thank you. I almost forgot. I will be there with you in twenty minutes.
'Vice president!' Ok sir. We will be waiting for you. Then he hang on the phone.
'President!' Sweet heart, I have to go, am having a meeting with the house of senate this morning.
'First lady!' Ok honey. I also have a meeting by 10:30am with the women association for change (WAC), but honey you haven't taken your tea yet.
'President!' No am late, I have to go now.
'First lady!' Ok honey. She gave him a peck and he left.
The meeting was scheduled to take place by 7:30am and it was already some minutes past seven from the look of things he was running late for the meeting and had to leave the Presidential villa in a rush. by 7:23am they were already at the vanue and by 7:30 the meeting began with all the media present and ready to capture the meeting. The meeting was opened by a word of prayer by one of the senate, senator Benjamin shekwolo and the opening remark by the senate president Mr victor James.
'Senate president!' I greet and welcome you once again to this our honourable meeting. As you all know, today we are all gathered here to discuss on ways to eradicate corruption and move this country forward.
After the senate President's opening remark. the President was given the chance to address the senators before the meeting continued. After the President's speech, One of the senators, senator Adamu Tanko stood up and spoke bitterly about the current hardship the country is facing and blamed the past governments, accusing them of mismanagement of fund and also of stealing the country's money storing it only for themselves and regarded it as an act of selfishness and wickedness.after series of discussion By 11:30am the meeting came to a close without any reasonable conclusion apart from blaming the previous governments for the present economic hardship the country was facing.
The president left the meeting being disappointed and went straight to his office.he was having a private meeting with the former president Mr Sunday Emmanuel in his office that afternoon by 12:30pm, he needed to be in his office before 12:30 and had to Tell the driver Mr Solomon kefas to hurry up so that he can make it on time. they got into the road together with his convoys and headed straight to his office.

TWO
In nasake state, the governor mr Shekwonya Adogo have refuse to pay the government workers their salary for five months but only pay in percentage. the labour congress was threatening to embark on strike, Mr Usman Friday who is just a poor teacher in Government secondary school Babala and have a wife and children to provide for, who have been surviving only by the grace of God for the past five months. Woke up one morning and there was no food no money in the house and the children were crying that they needed food to eat. he left home very angry and headed straight to the school. As the saying goes. A hungry man is an angry man. On getting to the school, Mr Usman Friday being a dedicated teacher and good citizen of his country, who never wanted to miss his lecture went straight towards his class. On reaching to the class the pupils stood up and greeted him in unison.
Good morning sir, we are happy to see you sir, God bless you sir.as a sign of respect to the teacher and also an elder. That was how they were taught to do anytime a teacher or an elderly man enter's into the class.
'Teacher!' Ok, you are happy to see me abi? Seat down. He went to the chalk board and wrote the following
SUBJECT: No Salary No teaching
TOPIC: Question and answers
Good morning once again class. Today we are going to discuss on the topic question and answers, I will ask you some questions and you will give me the answers, am I understood? Yes sir! The class chorused.
'Teacher!' Ok, Who is the president of this country?
'class!' Usman Danfadio
'Teacher!' Good!! Who is the minister of defence?
'class!' Usama Beladen
'Teacher!' Correct!! What is the full meaning of INEC?
'class!' Indeed our Nation is Experiencing Corruption
'Teacher!' Very good!! What is a noun?
'class!' A noun is a now now now or a noun is the goat, boy, chair and america.
'Teacher!' Excellent!! Who can spell his name ? Isaac come and spell your name.
'Pupil!' IZEK
'Teacher!' Wow wonderful, that is very good!! 1+1?
'class!' 11
'Teacher!' Perfect!! You will remain foolish and stupid like this until your governor decides to pay me my salary. So Mr Usman said and left the class in anger.
The pupils sat quite and watched as Mr Usman left the class and left them alone to deal with their ignorance.
Is quite unfortunate how the deed of the wicked affect the innocent in our country today. If the children are treated like this, then surely the future is in trouble.
Mr Usman went to his office and sat down thinking of how he was going to feed his family, because he left home that morning without giving them any food or money to buy food to cook. He sat down thinking for about thirty minute with nothing to show up.
The principal Mr Ayinda Ganuwa called the senior prefect Reuben Richard and asked him to go and remind the teachers that they were having teachers meeting that afternoon by 12:00pm. The senior prefect did as he was told, he went to all the teachers one after the other reminding them of the teachers meeting that was scheduled 12:00pm in the afternoon.
Mr Usman Friday happens to be the only remaining teacher that Reuben Richard was yet to pass the principal's message to. On getting to the office, the senior prefect found Mr Usman Friday lying unconscious on the floor. The senior prefect ran back quickly to the principal office and alerted him of the situation, together with the other teachers they rushed to the office and took Mr Usman Friday to one of the nearest hospital . On their way to the hospital Mr Ayinda Ganuwa kept thinking of what must have happened, because when Mr usman Friday came to the school this mornining, they greeted and Mr Usman Friday was looking sound and strong. Well is a question that only the doctor can find answers to, so he said and soon they arrived at the hospitatal and he was rushed into the hospital and was attended to immediately by the doctor on duty Mr Joseph Samson. soon Mr Usman Friday recovered and was ready to be discharged from the hospital. The doctor explained that Mr Usman collapse earlier due to too much thinking and that he was suffering from chronic hypertension, he was given some medications and was advised to come to the hospital regularly for check up. The principal paid the bills and he was discharged from the hospital.
Mr Ayinda Ganuwa came to school the following morning only to receive a shocking news that Mr Usman Friday died earlier that night leaving his four children and his wife with nobody to provide for their needs. Soon the burial arrangement was made. the principal, teachers and some of the student went and supported the family and soon the burial was over and Mrs Faith Usman was left alone with the four children to provide for. The family of her husband refuse to help her accusing her to be a witch and that she killed her husband unexpectedly with her witchcraft, that was how life became miserable for Mrs Faith Usman and her children, they started surviving only by the grace of God. But God never forsake the innocent, he is a father to the fatherless and the husband to a widow.

THREE
Soon the president arrived to his destination and went straight to his office and shortly after, was joined by the former president Mr Sunday Emmanuel and the meeting began immediately.
'President!' Good morning and welcome your Excellency.
'Former president!' Good morning Mr president.
'President!' The reason I called you for this urgent meeting is for us to look inward on ways to tackle corruption and economic hardship the country is experiencing, our economic have fallen drastically and the people are suffering. The president paused for a moment and then continued, they think I brought this upon them, they think is my fault that the country is in this present predicament. I have and am still doing my best to put the economic in order and to fight corruption to the last level, but some people under me are not willing to support me in the fight, infact while I and Mr Patrick kayode my vice and some others in the government are trying to fight and to bring an end to the corruption and economic hardship.some people in the government are also busy fighting against me saying that I can not change the country over night, which they say the country is beyond repair. They say am putting eyes on them too much and so will make the country ungovernable for me.
'Former president!' Your Excellency it is indeed sad and painful for a leader to see his people suffering and while fighting hard to better the lives of his people, the officials under him keep fighting to stop him from doing that. I suffered the same thing during my tenure. I tried all I could to make them see reasons for my desire to put religious and tribal diffrences aside and fight corruption to move the country forward, but none of them were willing to join me in the fight. All they were interested on was what goes into their pocket not minding what happens to the country and one hundred and eighty people living in the country. We are one of the most populous black nation in Africa and they call us the giant of africa, but yet we have nothing reasonable to show. I think is high time both the past and the present government come together and join hands to move this country forward. By the way, we have no other country to call ours apart from Nigeria.
'President!' I agree with you, i have given an order to the EFCC to investigate and arrest whosoever is found guilty of currupts practices in the country and would be penalised according to the law.
'Former president!' Ok that is a good start,
'President!' Thank you very much for honouring my invitation, I really appreciate your coming. With that they shook hand, then Mr Sunday Emmanuel left.
It was getting dark already,he had spent quality time with Mr sunday Emmanuel deliberating on how to tackle corruption and the economic setback the country was experiencing the president went home feeling happy because the meeting with the former president was a fruitful and successful one. When he got home he found his wife seating in the living room watching the evening news by 9:30pm on AIT station.
'First lady!' Welcome honey, how was the meeting?
'President!' Fine sweet heart. so how was your meeting with the women association for change?
'First lady!' Fine. Have you eaten since morning?
'President!' no. I have been too busy.
'First lady!' OK let me get you something to eat.she left and headed towards the kitchen.
Mr Ahmadu Dogara sat down quite on the sofa waiting for his wife to return but his attention was drawn by the headline of the news. there have been an unknown terrorist attack in zabutu
This is the news in detail: there have been an unknown terrorist attack in zabutu this evening. the suspect was said to have been seen dropping a bag and immidaitely running away from the location of the incident then some minutes later their was a bomb explosion leaving fifty seven peoples dead and twenty four people injured. the suspected terrorist was said to have escaped before the explosion.
As the president was still listening to the news a call came in, it was from the minister of information Mr Bitrus Isaac.
'President!' Hello Mr Bitrus Isaac.
'Mr Bitrus Isaac!' Hello. good evening your Excellency. There have been a terrorist attack in zabutu somewhere in tumudna state.
'President!' Yes I heard that from the news just now. I will be with you soon.
'Mr Bitrus Isaac!' OK sir, he replied and hang on the phone.
Mrs Noami Ahmadu came in with the food but found the president getting ready to leave to zabutu.
'First lady!' Honey here is the food.
'President!' Oh sorry sweetheart I was about leaving. There have been an unknown terrorist attack in zabutu somewhere in Tumudna State.
'First lady!' But you haven't eaten anything since morning. Do you have to go. Why don't you just tell the vice president or someone else to go on your behalf?
'President!' Yes. I know they are capable, but the people needs to know that the leader they voted for, care about them. Sweetheart to be a leader is not all about seating and commanding, do this, do that, no. Is beyond that. A true leader is the one who knows the way, shows the way, goes the way and lead the way. A true leader is one who is willing to sacrifice his wellbeing for the wellbeing of his people. I have to go now.
'First lady!' Ok honey.after saying that, she kissed him and he left with his convoys and headed towards tumudna state.

FOUR
The situation of the governor's refusal to pay the government workers in nasake state have grown very worse. After much pursuit by the labour Congress to see that the governor Mr Shekwonya Adoge pays the government workers their salary, it was obvious, he was not ready to comply. The labour congress came to a conclusion to embark on a strike and so all the government organisation went on strike but governor Shekwonya Adogo was not bothered at all, he said if they get tired of seating at home they would resume back to work.
Nasake state is not the only state that have refuse to pay the workers their salary. Infact zhazha state is even worse than that of Nasake state. The governor of zhazha state Mr Yakubu Kabiru have refused to pay the government workers of his state for the past nine months and they have been on strike for the past three months
The wife of late Mr Usman Friday, Mrs Faith Usman Friday, a teacher in government Secondary School Babala who died of chronic hypertension as a result of too much thinking due to his inability to provide for his family which was caused by the governor's refusal to pay them their salary. Ever since then, the widow and her children have been feeding from hand to mouth. All her three children Timothy, grace and happiness had to stop school except for Johnathan who was more brilliant in school and the mother promised to sell her last cloth if she have to, to see him finish his education. The other three of her children stayed back home and help her with the palm oil business she was into, through which they got the little money to feed and to also save a little forJonathan's Education. By now the widow and her children have become a laughingstock all over the village. Since the death of her husband so many men came from the village trying to take advantage of her situation in which she kept turning them down and in turn they promise to deal with her.
Mr Jaja Seun who happen to be one of the wealthiest man in the village have been trying none stop to win the heart of Mrs late Usman Friday which she have always refuse and have in so many occasions warned him to stay away from her which he would not, he feels he is rich and as such must have any woman he wish to. Soon the remours of Mrs Faith Usman spread round the whole village, accusing her of having an affair with Mr Jaja seun and calling her different kinds of name, a hurl, prostitute and husband snatcher. The rumours got to Mrs Josephine Jaja, she accused Mrs late Usman Friday of planning to steal her husband from her and promised to teach her a lesson she would never forget.
One faithful morning at about 8:30am after Mrs Faith Usman had prepared for market and was about to leave, all of a sudden she sensed a sharp pain across her head as if someone hit her with a sword on her head, instantly she became mad and started running around the village picking dirty and chasing people. All her children tried to hold her down but she was beyond their control. Back in school Jonathan was given a scholarship that day and became very happy and excited not knowing what have happened to his mother back at home. After school Jonathan went back home running and screaming at the top of his voice mommy mommy mommy only to get home and see his siblings crying.
'Jonathan!' Why are you crying and were is mommy? I have a good news to tell her.
'Timothy!' She is not at home.
'Jonathan!' Tor , were did she go to? Is she not back from the market yet?
'Timothy!' We don't know. He said sti
