The bus pulled into the Donaldson youth correctional center. The bus transported adult and youth offenders but they were kept separated. The youth were dropped off first. The adults wore orange jumpsuits. The youthful offender was still in their street clothes. There had been a two-hour drive. Some slept. No one was allowed to talk. The children were surrounded by officers.
The d.y.c was a juvenile detention center. It also offered classes. It was similar to a boring school except they did live in small cells. They were locked at night and at other designated times.
