Chapter 1 : The Precursor
I've been kidnapped. I'm panting hard, I guess. Breathe in. You're gonna be okay. I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm not gonna let them get me. Uh, what else do I have to lose? Breathe, Bella. I kept telling myself.

The door is slightly open, and streaks of light allow me to take a look around. Bloodstains are everywhere. It's just... so dark, and it feels dark as well, a sickening energy. What is happening?

I was badly hurt fighting to escape, my head hurts. It damn hurts. It's not bleeding, I guess, hopefully. My hands are tied, and for some damn reason, I'm in a very uncomfortable position, lying here. What a beautiful day—perhaps the end of my life. I ain't gonna die like this.

I can hear footsteps. I think they're coming.

I. Am. Ready.

There are three people, all masked, tall and muscular. I've read what criminals look for in victims: "Don't be an easy target," I kept telling myself. Fear is shaking through my skull and bones, but I've finally gathered the energy to provoke them.

"What are you doing? Are you going to rape me? Well, honestly, I haven't shaved down there. If I knew this would've happened, I would've put it on my agenda. Gosh,"

They cocked their heads at me and looked confused, mostly with worried looks. One of them is talking on the phone.

"Uh, boss, did you tell us to kidnap an insane person by any chance?" he asks on the call.

-- "What the fuck are you talking about? Wait there, I'm on the way."

I almost laughed. I'm definitely gonna get myself killed.

He hung up the call and continued.

"Your father is gonna call us begging for mercy. He should pay the price for turning us down. But we are afraid now. With your insane personality, he might tell us to just kill you off. Poor girl."

"Uh, excuse me? I'm kinda offended," I said, laughing out loud. They froze.

They looked at each other and said, "We've killed a lot and met a lot. What kind of creature is she? She's not crying. At least it would've been better if she feared us a bit, for my dignity's sake."

I continued talking.

"First of all, my father ain't gonna make any deal with you. He's poor as duck for that. I mean, probably, yeah, sure. Secondly, he doesn't give a duck about me. I don't even know if he knows I exist."
