WHAT'S WRONG
I am Jiya 25 years, working in MNC. And I’m quite pretty.
I never expected that I will be rejected by a guy. that too who is below avg. Let me tell you from the very beginning.
I had number of proposals. But the incident which I faced today forcing me to reconsider my thoughts about my family about this society about the man of this society. As I’m 25+ although I’m a working independent girl “GIRL” my parents are very concerned about my married. As I said earlier that I’m quite pretty so my family get many proposals, But my parents are looking for nearby person. So they rejected many proposals just because they are from different districts or few work abroad.
Saddest part is, Today a guy and his parents came to my home for marriage proposal .. they said 2 weeks ago my son had seen your daughter in a mall and he informed us and ask us to have a look of your daughter. Finally we are ready to come to your home to see the girl..” girl looks good we are happy to our son choice..
My parents wear already fade-up because I am aged in their eyes.. Since mostly girls in our state get married after or before their graduation. They were happy by this proposal.
After few minutes they saw me and had a conversation.
He asked my hobbies for which I replied. I've asked him the same question to which he replied cricket for physical fitness. He asked where I was working and where do I live in Bangalore and doing on. I saw his face and I thought he likes me.. For a casual chat and making him comfortable, I asked him “do u know cooking ?” . He said yes.. then he said done .. okay fine.. everyone left. My parents were happy that this match will be fixed. I told to my parents about the conversation we had.
In the Evening dad received a call, that the guy didn’t liking the girl. He strongly rejected. My mom and my brother are saying it's my fault that I have asked him that about cooking.. he might have thought that he will be cooking if he get married. I really don't understand that a guy is hurt just because of asking about cooking.. I was shattered.. and in home everyone started scolding me and making faces that I’m the culprit..
I have a big doubt. Do guys don't eat food? What's wrong with cooking..,
