Ryder ran fast away from the building Leo died in but they weren’t after him because they already knew I was basically dead anyways. Ryder took me back to his house and a doctor walked in the room as Ryder put me down on my bed.

The doctor said that I had a chance of surviving because I might be a vampire but I’ve only just turned into one it hasn’t taken any effect on the part of me that is still human. The doctor then left after checking my heart was alright. Ryder then sat next to me and held my hand whilst I was in so much pain and felt like I was about to be very unwell.

I told Ryder how ashamed I was because Leo died because of me and I see now they weren’t bluffing when they said they’d leave Ryder alone at my cost. I could tell Ryder wanted to support me and tell me it wasn’t my fault but he knew I’d never believe that no matter who told me.

For nights I’d scream after seeing Leo getting killed again and again and eventually Ryder knew what to do every time and what it was always about. He’d come into my room and talk to me about it and then sleep on the floor to give me a reassurance that he’d do anything for me no matter what happens.

Ryder and I have never argued before and I’m kind of happy I almost got killed so I could meet him and he didn’t get hurt and now they all think I’m dead so Ryder won’t get hurt.

When I asked him if he was a vampire he said his brother got turned into a zombie and that was who killed Leo and that he totally did not support his brother for killing Leo or trying to kill someone as beautiful as me.

Suddenly I noticed Ryder amazing messy black hair and green eyes and he knew I noticed and was looking at my brown hair and blue eyes but I had to turn away because although there was nothing between me and Leo I could tell he wouldn’t be happy if I dated Ryder. Ryder must sense I don’t feel comfortable with kissing him so he just gives me a hug instead and I swear I saw Leo behind him.
