Samual's first full moon
SAMUEL’S FIRST FULL MOON
It was a very hot lazy day so mom had us take a long afternoon nap. We slept so long that when we woke the sun was low and the sky was glowing. Yeah mom might let us stay up past dark. She had been waiting for just the right time She would always tell Daisy and me.
Out of the cool shade we had below our giant oak tree we ventured to the river for dinner. It was cooler but still hot so the idea of fishing was a good one. Mom took the lead and jumped right into the river above the waterfall. Daisy slipped on rocks and ended up splashing all around. I laughed so hard and then with on full swoop mom splashed me with all her might. I was dripping wet and slowly walked in the river calmly preparing for the big fish I knew I was going to catch. I stood above the waterfall like mom and waited for them to jump around. Daisy stood on the other side of mom watching for her dinner fish.
It took awhile but we all caught a fish. Just in time because the sun was almost gone. We sat on the shore and ate our delicious fish. When we were finished we laid on the soft shore and looked up in the sky. Mom started telling us stories about the sky, telling Daisy and me about how the star's help us if we have to travel at night. I asked mom why the sun was not shining but glowing now. She chucked and explained the moon lights the way at night for animals that are up at night. Daisy and I snuggled up with mom and watched the sky sparkle like the dew we see in the mornings. The moon reflected off the river making the river light up and showing us the bats that eat at night.
I am in love with the night sky, YAWN. Mom's tummy was warm and cuddly I can't help it I have to lay down. ..yawn
My eyes are heavy, but this was so much fun i hope to do it again.
