Passersby
I was longing for the love that's not meant for me. I keep on chasing the fire which I know will hurt me. Not until I realized, we are not meant for each other. And little did I know he is just a passerby. A passerby whom I loved.

I am Sheena, 25 years young. I thought life is all about finding a job that you desire but it's not. All my life I kept in the dark. I never believe in happiness because for me being happy means sadness is coming.
But he proves to me that I was wrong. He wanted me to live the world with happiness.

I was drinking my favorite iced coffee while looking right through the glass wall. I saw a kid who's crying and I can't stand to see a child crying, so I walked outside and approach her trying to make a conversation.

"Hello baby girl, why are you crying?"

"I can't find my brother" she answered between her sobs.

"Okay, we will find your brother right now so stop crying, are we clear?"

"Okay, what's your name by the way?" she sounds cheerful.

"Just call me sister Sheena."

When we were about to walk a man approach the kid.

"Cheska, Glad you're safe. I told you to wait for me why did you leave?"

" Sorry, brother Ashton. By the way, she is sister Sheena and she approaches to help me. She's beautiful, right?" the little girl said whispering the latter which I still heard.

"Ashton," he extended his hand for a handshake which I accept whilst saying,
" Sheena."

" We gotta go now, " he said while walking away.

That was the very first time I saw and know him.

It's been a week since I saw Ashton and his little sister. My everyday life is as boring as before. There is one time that I saw Ashton in the mall, he approached me and invited me for a dinner as a token of gratitude. And that was the reason why we became friends...

friends that became lovers.

" Love, tomorrow's our 4th anniversary, and I have a plan that this time we should celebrate our anniversary on the beach. What do you think?"

We're in an Italian restaurant eating dinner.

" It's okay with me, Let's go it's getting late, I'll drive you home," he said while looking at his wristwatch.

He seems odd. The way he talks is somewhat cold. And I just don't know why.
