This Oscar nominated, superbly directed movie will surprise you with it's 3 elements, best cinematography, screenplay, and editing. In another words, it's a visual feast for our eyes. The plot narrates, In 2027, the world is on the brink of collapse because no children have been born for 18 years. Offered £5,000 by a politically radical ex-girlfriend, London office worker Theo (Owen) agrees to escort a pregnant refugee to safety, but soon finds his life is in danger.
What makes this movie interesting is the long taken actions without VFX or green screen will hook you up in the seat. The director Cuarons created a fictional war zone with the help of big studios is a gratifying sign, that showcase an intelligent work, doesn't require an artificial green screens.
This movies gives all the essentials you want, an enrich story with swift and ferocious action along with a great message. The camera work is astonishing, and you might feel that by chance you had ended up in this war zone, and experiencing in real.
Though this movie released 14 years ago but it raises situations that are rational today. Such as Virus, Immigration Problem, Pollution, Rising infertility in the developed world etc. So, from that perspective, the premise of this movie alone makes this worth watching & from my point of view, this film is a Dystopian Masterpiece.
