She has friends
She has friends alright. Good friends. No trust issues as such. As if any of that would ever happen. She rarely opens up. But you see, she talks a lot. At least with some. Random thoughts about this and that. She hardly keep things to herself. And yet she never opens up. Her mind has a filter, and strict rules they adhere to.

"Don't get too close.", says the mind.
"Don't get too personal.", says the mind.
"You'll slip up and then you'll regret. No one's interested in you. You'll see.", says the mind.

Her mind hardly shuts up. But it's not always harsh. Also, it's all for her own good. So, she's fine with. Grateful, even.

So she has friends. She talks to them, laughs with them. She 'hangs out' with them, pretty basic. She's basic. However, she slips away once in a while, gets lost in her own world. It mostly goes unnoticed.

"You don't fit, you know.", says the mind.
"You don't care about them, you know." says the mind.
"They'll never understand anyway. It's you and me buddy.", says the mind.

So she has friends. There are secrets and gossips. There are movie and song recommendations. She listens to them all. She's a good listener. Occasionally, she gets overexcited and shares her thoughts. There's an awkward silence, followed by laughter. She laughs with them. She's okay with it all. She's always okay.

"You're a joke.", says the mind.
"You're weird.", says the mind.
"But I understand you completely. I got you girl.", says the mind.

So she has friends. But she hardly relies on them. She helps herself. She entertains herself. She's alright, all by herself.

"You'll always be alone.", says the mind.
"You'll always be alone despite being surrounded by friends.", says the mind.
"However, we're-"

"We're in this together and nothing really matters, I know." she says.

She is sitting under her favorite tree in this garden no one really comes to. She looks up at the sky.

"At night, everyone feels alone, right?", she says.
"I'm not the only one.", she says.
