I do believe in the afterlife but not like how I imagined it would be or probably.. Am I still alive? inconceivable... the blade that jabs my gut did end my life.

I scanned my surrounding, but everything was vague. seems like I was put in the void of the abyss. In this darkness, I did not know whether my eyes were open or close.

Two, three and more fragments of lights appear soon it begins orbiting in a vortex form around me. Then a powerful force swamped and pulled the fragments at a certain point and slowly consolidated above my head. The lights seem to be growing eternally.

Then the lights blew up and shattered into lesser lights. The lights showered down, drifting through the air lazily like a snow flurry in the early of Winters. Somehow it awakened and brought back a flood of memories that were once forgotten.

*chuckle *giggle

"Do it again, do it again!" A boy implored his mom.

"Alright close your eyes" she replied.

A tiny gust conjured up on her right palm then blew it lightly over her son's face. He smiled as he enjoyed the cold breeze.

"Can...mommy teach me that?" he asked

He raised her head and looked at her mother with a cute face. His eyeball glittering and shone like a cat asking for food from its owner.

"Sure when you grow up..." She responded

"RAAAAWWRRRR!!!" The sound of a terrific beast echoed.


"Zarell where is Ayrel!?"(Ayla)

"..." Silence... he does not know what to answer.

"Go take a shelter first!" (Zarell)

"No... I'm not leaving without him" (Ayla) she opposed. Tears threatening to spill from her eyes.

Both of them was in sixes and sevens, they did not know where his son wandered.

"Don't worry I made sure that I'll find him" (Zarell)

"..." (Ayla)

Zarell kissed Ayla's forehead and hugged her to calm her down. Then he asked her to believe in him and to follow the other people to the safety area.


While...


For the others they were in the state of hyperventilating, frenzied, disjointed thoughts as the mind zip from one unrelated thought to another, cold sweats and clammy hands, heart pounding, eyes widening in terror, flicking from side to side as searching for an escape route, they were all urging to withdraw from here.


A sudden attack from a fifth-grade magical beast, Asvra Hound had stemmed a commotion in the Valla Town. Scribbling its claws to the roof on top of the building at the centre of the town and continued again its daunting howling.


"RAAAAAWRRRRRRR!!!!!! "

The sound of that monster howling shattered through the atmosphere, the birds flapped their winds leaving some of its feathers behind and swiftly flew away from this vicinity, but not for the braves. 

The guards, young mages and some of the villagers stood up against that perilous creature. They confined the wolf-like beast within a magic barrier. Then they prepare a high tier magic strike. As the spells and the barrier take turn simultaneously it became the most strategic and efficient way to fend off a high-grade magical beast. They turn off the barrier and strike then turn it on again. It tiresome but this was the best rational calculus.

" RAAAAWWWRRRR!!!!"

When the beast came invaded the town, the Syrav family was going out to the market. The boy was pulled by the massive crowd of people running away from the beast.

After that, he was separated from his parent.

As he was able to escape from the crowd he was dumbfounded and he was stumbled through the darkness that came to him.

*sob *sob

MOMMY.....DADDY WHERE ARE YOU..." (Ayrel)

"Hey, little child where are your parent," asked a young man.

The child replied with his sobbing.

" We can't leave him here" added the other woman.

"Then let's take him too"

"But what if his parent was looking for him"

"Either way we can't just leave him alone"

"..."
The parties of adventurers took Ayrel with them.


The carriage moved and left the town. Ayrel did not expect it to turn out this way. Then the carriage headed towards Fatura City.

"RAAAWWWRRRR!!!"


He remembered it now that he regrets not holding his mother hand on that day. It was his last time seeing both of his parents.

Finally, the flashback ended...

As the lights slowly dispersed from him...he ran and chased it. He was not satisfied with that, he wants to see more. Not because he did not know or remember his past but he just wished to see his parent again. Tears escaped his eyes and flowed down to his cheeks and chin.

As he closed down the flashes, he saw a light that looks like her mother was extending her hand to him. This time he made sure to grab it tight and never want to let it go.

He could not hold it anymore and let the burst of copious tears out...

His desire that had suppressed within his heart eventually freed. He just wants to live a joyous life with a family.



*shriek *sniffle


Suddenly the lights grew intenser and blinded him.

Uwaaaa!!! Waaaaaaa!!!

"Congratulations, it's a boy "(nurse)

The nurse gave the baby to his mother. The mother took him gently, she looked at his son with a heart-warming smile.

" He got a lot of facial features from you"(Andrew)

"He's pretty, and look he has your eyes colour. Shhh don't worry I'm here, your mommy here so you can stop crying now Ezra" (Katelyn)



What in the world is happening right now!!?

Why are they so huge!? What are they conversing about!?
Hey, put me down, lady!?.....

Huh? My hands and my feet are small?

Gehee I could not move!!

"Oh my, look honey he's looking at you" (Katelyn)

Katelyn passed Ezra into Andrew's hands. Andrew was feverish he was unable to control his facial expressions.

Hey stop passing me around..huh what with the face you make, stop it, please...

After a few minutes, Ezra's hearing eventually back to normal.

"I could not imagine it, that I become a father" (Andrew) emotionally, he expressed those words.



Huh? Father..? Then that means I am this couple's child?..
