RECAP: Diana was feeling lonely standing at her window when she heard a voice which frightened her. She went to sleep then....now let's see what happened further...

It was all black around her...she couldn't breath....she was trying to kick her legs out of the water but as if something was pulling her down...she was drowning.....deep in the black waters....her lungs began to ache...she couldn't breath anymore...and then suddenly... suddenly, she heard that voice....the whisper....which has been haunting her for the past 8 years.....she almost felt as if the voice came from just behind her. She turned around, frightening.... and then...screamed....

"Noooooooo"....she woke up.... panting...her t-shirt wet with sweat. How strange a dream, she thought.....she drank a glass of water from her side table....tried to calm herself..." its just a dream diana, you're frightened because of yesterday's night... that's why you saw it...nothin' else" she calmed herself.

She was about to go downstairs when the bell rang.
"who could be at the door, at this early hour?" she thought. She glanced at the clock, it was 6 am.

She reached the door and peeped through the window next to the door... nobody was there...She felt a little strange. She turned around for kitchen to make herself some breakfast when again the bell rang, this time urgently. This time , she opened the door. Nobody was there, her heart was pounding at great speed. She saw a paper on her stairs. She picked it up and saw what's written in that...."im back".
The paper fell from her hand. What is happening...why....she was very afraid now...
"Booo" someone said at her back.
diana screamed...
she saw then. There was standing her best friend, Shine .
"U silly, why you always have to scare me for a surprise?" diana yelled
" coz I'm your best friend..that too childhood one..." Shine winked.
Then shine hugged her tightly.
" happy birthday, my lovely diana" shine wished.
Diana almost forgot about her birthday in the events of the past few months. Today was 30th of may. Today she turned 18.
"oh, yeah, my birthday it is"said diana.
"won't you invite me inside??.. we'll be celebrating your birthday here??.. outside??..." joked shine.

They both went inside. Shine started with her usual chattering about things. Diana lost in her thoughts.... thought about the time back at her parents home...her birthplace... California... shine too lived there..they went to school together...grew up together...until that incident happened and diana decided to move here in Seattle 6 months ago. This home was her grandmother's which was given to her according to granny's will.There was no place other than this if she wanted to leave behind her past and move on. She shuddered at mere rememberance of the past few months and tears welled up her eyes.....

Back outside, a shadow was there at the window beside the gate. ...watching diana...



what is this shadow?...and what were the incidents happened to her that she always brought her pain??...
