DOCTOR
I look at the couple beside me when they are arguing about something, I give them privacy since it was their private conversation. I am here in the hospital because I visited my uncle. I didn't mean it but I heard their conversation since it's a little bit loud.
"How about my son huh?! I told you to guard him because his health is in danger!" The wife is angry. Yes she is and you can see it the way she acts.
A doctor come and talk to the couple. I shook and just let them. I was about to go when I heard them again, I am too curious and I don't know why.
"Sorry for being late today, his operation will start today please be calm and wait for the result." That is the doctor said before go inside, I look at the couple.
Oddly, I waited too. It was hours and I can say that the doctor is professional amd smart because he literally finished the operation in just 3 hours.
"We are so worried about my son and you will just say sorry?!" I look at the people inside the hospital when they stop and listen to them also. I feel bad.
"We pay for you so do your work well!" The husband shouted as well. I shook and just stare at them.
"I am really sorry for the delay Ma'am/Sir, but the good news is your son is safe." He said and leave without looking at the people around him. A girl doctor talk.
"You should be considerate. His daughter died today and he need to take care of the funeral, imagine this that he saved your son's life when he can't save his daughter. He is late because of it, he is stress, and problematic but look at him still good and do his job well. You pay for us, for our service but you didn't pay for the lives we will risk too. Doctors are human too, we hurt and feel pain atleast respect us because this is hospital and if you have a problem go to the office of the doctor not here. Good day and congrats." She leave after that.
I can see that the couple is shock about what they heard. I sigh heavily and leave the hospital. I realized something, we shouldn't judge the doctor by the way they act in front of us because we don't know about their life outside the hospital.
We pay them for their service and we didn't pay just to judge and insult them by what our eyes see. Sometimes, we need to be calm because doctors know how to do it. They will know how to do their job better and we are out of their personal business.
We are all human. Doctors are human. Please be considerate. They are important. Period.
