Being Deeply Rooted in CHRIST..
When the root is deep, there is no reason to fear the storm!
When I think of being deeply rooted, it reminds me to hold on or to be planted, even in extreme circumstances or conditions.
If you are trying to grow in your Christian faith and be faithful to Him. Than the key to being rooted is to always come back to JESUS. You have to make sure that JESUS is your foundation.
Colossians 2: 6-7 (NIV) says this:
6 So then, just as you received CHRIST JESUS as LORD, continue to live your lives in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Ephesians 3:16-19 is such a beautiful passage of scripture to me. In fact, I would say Ephesians 3:18 is one of my favorites.
16 I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then CHRIST will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. 19 May you experience the love of CHRIST, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (NLT)
