tak tak t-tak tak
I recognized the pattern of knocks and opened my window,
'you ready?' he asked in a whisper while adjusting his cap.
'mhmm' I sat rubbing my eyes and glanced at my favorite neon light watch ,it was almost the time.
I grabbed my backpack kept on the chair, drank some water from the glass beside the bed and slipped on my socks,then jumped out of my window and he shoved a pair of shoes near my face indirectly telling me to put them on,
I took them and slipped them up shabbily then tapped the ground indicating i'm ready to go.
I took out my torch out from the side-pocket of my bag and followed him, we were moving through bushes and in no time we entered the thickest region of the woods.
I felt something slimy against my leg and I jumped over him said in a squeaky voice 't..th..there's something..'
I clearly saw him roll his eyes!! i said in a low voice "as if I lied huh?"
'I know you didn't but you gotta be brave.' he replied.
I gave a puppy face and he sighed shaking his head, moving ahead, he stopped and said 'hold my hand if you want'
I knew that'd be better anyway, i clasped his cold hand and he tightened the grip.
we walked a bit more and i had the most beautiful view of my life i gaped at it without realizing, the calming moonlight was pouring over the lake while making a clear reflection on lake water and fireflies were fluttering around as if stars descended down from heavens above.
the words "I love you" escaped my mouth as I hugged him, "it's the most beautiful thing in my 12 years of small life!"
he asked "why, why do you love me?"
I said "because, you give me fireflies!"
