I invited my best friend, Bright , over to my house for my mini-birthday party.

It was just a three-person party; me,bright and my girlfriend.

It wasn't just a party but also an opportunity to clear my doubts on whether she was cheating on me with him or not.
I had been suspecting that something fishy was going on between both of them and I wanted to clear my doubts.

My girlfriend and I were in the sitting room dancing at the tone of the music playing loudly from the home theatre when we heard a knock on the door;

"Happy birthday...!!!" he shouted as he came in with a cake in his hands and a young man following him behind blowing a trumpet.

"Brooooooo...thank you, gee," I said hugging him

Finally, it was just the three of us partying and having fun together.

"Let me get the wine," I said excuse myself from both of them.

This was the time everything would unfold!

I quickly went to a hidden corner and stood, watching them from there.
As I suspected, I saw my bestfriend quickly grab her as they both kissed and touched themselves.

"I knew it!...so this is it" I muttered to myself feeling betrayed.

Finally, I came with the wine already poured into the tumbler pretending that I didn't see anything happen.
After I had shared the wine amongst the three of us, I sat down eating my already cut out cake as I watched them drink the po!soned wine.

Just as I thought I had already gotten rid of them, my stomach started rumbling and paining me. Foam began coming out of my mouth; they had po!soned the cake too.

I could hear their roaring laughter turn to cries of pain as we all laid on the floor struggling to live.🤧
