I don't know why she is not picking my call". I said disappointedly standing next to Mr Clark's bed in the hospital.

Mr Clark looked really paled. He look like he can go anytime. This was really getting to me.

"I really need my daughter". "Please try again". Mr Clark said softly.

Ok Mr Clark. I responded disappointedly.

This time her phone was completely switched off.

"Ermm I couldn't reach her Mr Clark". I said poorly

"Its alright if she don't want to see me". "Its best I just die isnt it? Mr Clark cried out

"Erm she said she was going to come and see you later Mr Clark". I lied

I had no choice than to lie as I didnt want his condition to get worse.

Mr Clark was on full oxygen as he couldn't breathe properly on his own

Mr Clark coughed and said one thing I want you to not forget is my daughter.
"Do look after her like the big brother you have always been".

Hearing Mr Clark just made tears rolled on my eyes. This was so emotional and it really got to me.
"I always will Mr Clark". I said moving closer to hold his hands. "Thank you for picking me up in the streets". I don't know what I will do without you".

"We are family". "Great your mum and dad for me. "They came to see me yesterday".

"I will Mr Clark". I responded
Mr Clark is the reason behind my success. He adopted me and looked after me like his own child. I will never forget what he has done for me. I had to call of sick for two good weeks. I don't know how am standing right here. It feels unreal.
I remember the day when our landlord kicked my parents and I. we had to find a place within a month . We had no food, no money. We basically had nothing.
