Land of the Dead Volume 1 Part 4
David woke up to the sound of people arguing. He attempted to get up only to find both of his arms and legs bound by a thick rope. Panic filled him as he looked around looking for the ones responsible. He was inside a room with boarded up windows and a barricaded door. There were 3 people, a woman and 2 men who were currently arguing over each other. David tensed upon seeing their uniforms. The emblem of the Royal army was there for him to see, as clear as day even in the dark room. David began twisting his hands in an attempt to free himself. Thankfully, the other three were too busy arguing to notice that he was awake.
He felt the bindings on his arms loosen and he doubled his efforts. However, he heard the arguing subside and quickly stopped just in time as one of the soldiers turned and looked at him.
"He's awake." the soldier spoke as the the others turned to him as well. David studied the soldiers in front of him. Judging by the uniforms, he deduced that the soldiers belonged to the royal army's Pathfinder unit. It was a unit that specialises in infiltration, espionage and assassinations. David stayed silent as one of the men, a corporal judging by his patch crouched in front of him, holding a rifle.
