All his life Egidio has been accused of being a clean freak. The obsession is unreal as Egidio not only cleans his house but cleans every place he visits as well. Egidio is always seen walking around with a tiny mop and a spray. Even when Egidio travels he carries cleansing supplies to clean his room to the T. All his life Egidio is mocked for this behaviour but nobody has ever asked him why he is obsessed with keeping everything clean. The only person who knows about Egidio's secret is his therapist.
The reason Egidio does this is because he has Katsaridaphobia- the fear of cockroaches. Unfortunately for Egidio, growing up he lived in a house that was prone to cockroaches. Since then Egidio has strive to keep the environment he lives in clean. The childhood house is traumatic for Egidio as he could never tell anyone about the fear as he will would be made fun of. At the same time seeing cockroaches in the house scared the living life out of Egidio. As an adult the phobia became stronger than Egidio himself.
Now he is known as the cleaning man. In spite of everything, Egidio has only one question, why are fear of heights and water treated like it is a big deal but Katsaridaphobia is treated like a joke? In a world where there is bias in everything why is there bias even in phobias where some phobias are accepted in the world while the others are not?
