Bella was in foster care.Bella had a younger sister who was five years old. Bella was twelve years old at the time of her first placement.At this placement she had a foster farther.He had a son who was fifteen his name was jake.Bella and jake became amazing friends he was always helping bella with homework.He always played board games with her.Jake had a great relationship with bella until her Jake told her"I can help you with your homework upstairs in my room".When she whent upstairs there was a older guy in his room a stranger.This stranger knew jake but not bella.He gave jake a thousand dollars.Jake then closed the door.Jake said"if you refuse or dont do what your told and say anything to anyone about this I will rape your little sister.She was Told to take off her clothes so she did in fear of what jake would do to her if she didn't comply.Then jake made her take ecstasy/molly.Then the stranger then had sex with her.As he had sex with her jake took videos of them. He then posted those videos on the a porn site.Thats how he managed to sell her to people for sex in the future who jake didn't know.This happened for a year.Every day after school bella would take ecstasy/molly then had sex with strangers as Jake recorded them having sex because she didn't want her sister to be raped.At this point his dad figured that they were just studying with a tutor like his son and bella said.However bella was always crying because she was scared or getting nightmares or vomiting.She became addicted to ecstasy/molly. Ounce she turned thirteen she hit puberty.At this point no customer wanted to have sex with her because of the fact that she broke there fantasy.Keep in mind it was a pedifile ring they wanted to have sex with kids not young adults.At this point jake told her "just tell the caseworker that you and your sister aren't happy anymore and You got into a fight with me.Tell them a lie or I will release the tapes of you having sex with a bunch of other men to your caseworker and the public.Then the whole world will all think your a whore who's using the foster care system to sleep with more guys".In that very moment She told her caseworker that she got into a big fight with jake and wasn't happy anymore.Then the caseworker then took Bella and her little sister to a better placement together.Now just because the sex stopped dosen't mean she wasn't still traumatized.At this point she still kept quiet.She was still scared so much that she cried all the time.She was still getting nightmares when she didn't want to.She was also still vomiting all the time when she didn't want to.She also was still addicted to ecstasy/molly when she didn't want to be. Bella then whent into a depression when she didn't want to be in a depression.She didn't want to go to any sorts of counseling.She felt helpless.Bella didn't want to feel that way at all.Then she tried to commit suicide but she wasnt successful luckily her sister caught her.When Bella got caught trying to hang herself she finally told her sister about what had happened to her.At this point she was twenty six and her sister was eighteen.Bella was able to afford treatment.She then finally decided to go to rehab for treatment that lasted a year.After a year passed she felt alot better with counseling and medication.However even in bella's case just because it was fourteen years later dosen't mean it wasn't effecting her.The reason why I'm writing this is because acording to a statistic from 2018 a million children would be victims of human trafficking.There was a study in 2019 that saids the suicide rate was rising for victims of human trafficking.There was another study in 2019 that said 83 percent of victims of human trafficking reported substance abuse. Another known fact that in 2019 the United states was one of the worst countries in the world for human trafficking.I am simply just writing this story to inform people more about a subject that people need to be aware that this happens every single day in the United States.I hope this story dose a little justice for any victim of human trafficking.
