ball in challengers court
#WritcoStoryChallenge
The car sped through the dark night, it's headlights flashing, warning the incoming traffic that there was a cop ahead of them. he would only flash one time when he saw the oncoming cars headlights, and then one more time just before he could just barely make out a visual of the cars dark form. That way if people in the oncoming car didn't see the first flashing light, they couldn't miss it the next time.
My regular driver was taking a vacation with her family at that time, some place where they had to take a flight to, in getting there. I dont quite recall what she was spouting about with her itinerary, in which she was certain it just wouldnt work out or whatever. The Bahamas! that's what or where they were to spend six glorious days basking in the tropical blah, blah, blah.
This vacation wasn't so much an inconvenience to me, as it angered me for knowing the circumstances that brought them all together engaging themselves into a false sense of security. I should know because, here I am day after day listening to her go on about their problems, their breakup, their two precious children, and how are they possibly gonna be able to cope with all of this. And then she spr¹ings it on me. The family is going on a vacation,TOGETHER, no less. Now I dont know where this is going, but if I were you, I'd find something than this mere inconvenience in your starting point when you go backwards with this, in order to play this one out to its conclusion dontchathink?, the challenger remarked rhetorically. challenge accepted!. whats next?, or As all this worked its way to a headache thinking so much about it, I was being asked a question by Leon, my substitute driver i picked up one night when I really needed to get out and breath cause I felt like I was being suffocated by my four walls as they were falling in on me. Usually, I'm pretty comfortable being by myself all of the time. I did the uber thing and went to have a quick drink somewhere and asked Leon if he didnt mind joining me. At first he was hesitant, but after explaining that i didn't pay just by the distance incurred, but also the experience of it, there we were, sitting at one those local dim lighted lounges, having a drink. Of course, Leon refused drinking any alcohol, but had a pepsi instead.
Our brief time together that night was time well spent, and I found a friend that is willing to drive me anytime needed.
the end? I don't know how much time or words or substance within this imaginative drama, or do I write of scary, no guidelines. I'm done, challenge met.
