Full Moon
Nobody ever thought that things would be different after the full moon. Yet here we stand watching in horror. I used to not believe in magic and fairy tales. Now I know that it's old men tales that are behind a book or a dictated verse upon the page that changes the atmosphere of the reader. But this is no story.
Following a morning with the temperature dropped the four men set their sights on a moose hunt. Upon finishing their breakfast inside the cabin... it was an eerie but quiet start to the day. Dale out puffing his corncob pipe. June was finishing his last heap of flapjacks. Papa Davie was loading up the gear and I just barely a man stood in silence by the edge of the forrest line.
"Joshua you gone and get that truck started we bout ready to ship out", Papa Davie yelled out.
"yes sir I'mma gonna get right to it", I replied back with glee.
As we said out to go hunt the biggest moose we could find in order to make grandma's good stew, none of us would ever be prepared for what would follow next in a series of events.
The air was dank and smelled of pine mystery and death. We all spread out as to make sure we kept eyes open for predators.
Step by careful step, we fawn through the opening of Direshed Forrest. Poppa Davie says that the legend of Direshed Forest is older than the Bible itself. It stated, whosoever should enter the forest and become lost if you so happen to find the blue rose bush That never dies beware of the monster that lurks nearby.
I'd ask...
