Mr Brown was dead. He was lying on the ground as the last leaf of autumn. I knew what I had to do. I drank pomegranate juice and observed everything.

There were lilies all around the body. A broken cup of tea. Bowl with cookies crumbles. And crumbles on both side of tables, indicating both person ate them.

The cop with whom I had went in search of Alicia called me near him and said, “Mr Lenoir, you are here. What do you think about this?”
“A very heartless murder. That's the only thing I can see here.”
“Doctors have confirmed it was Morphine poisoning.”

I thought something and remembered and said to him, “The same medicine he was taking for his back pain. Morphine.”
“Yes, but who takes medicine by pouring it on cookies. You will be surprised to know Miss Vera prepared them.”
“How's you know that?”, I asked.
“Tory, a gardener who was working here have confirmed that she was seen coming out of her house.”
“Where is she now?”
“Probably in her house. But I think soon will be taken to prison.”

I entered Vera's house. She was questioned by a cop
“Did you visited Mr Brown today?”
She answered, "Yes" in a very low voice.
“Did you prepared those cookies yourself?”
“Yes.”

Suddenly Inspector McCoy called me who is Vera's kitchen. He said, “Lenoir, check this out.” I went close to him and he showed me a paper with these things written on them,

"It's a torn label from poison used to kill Mr Brown...”, he said, "...Its from Elden brand but Mr Brown used to take medicine from Helter brand. Showing the murder had brought it with intention to kill Mr Brown. It was found in his dustbin.”

I thought and gave a close look to it. I went hurriedly and asked Miss Vera interrupting the cop, “Miss Vera, what cookies had you made?”
“Mr Lenoir I had prepared Butter cookies for Mr Brown and Sugar ones for Mrs Brown.” I turned to that cop and said, “I am sorry for interuppting but it's clear.”

“Cops please arrest Vera Connel...”
