CHAPTER III : The last bench
In the village school, Shyam was considered an introvert both by teachers and other students.
He would always occupy the last bench so that he can sit alone. The last bench would make creaking noise and move a little if someone sat on it.
The benches were long and made of bad quality wood. Four students can occupy one bench. But students would avoid the last bench fearing that it might break causing them to fall down and get hurt.
But Shyam would sit there happily as he got to sit alone.
But that Monday was an exception. As he approached the last bench he saw a grinning face greeting him, already occupying the last bench. Shyam saw his day getting ruined in front of his eyes. "Now I have to talk to him", murmured...
