Misunderstanding (JJBA)
This wasn’t what it looked like at all! It wasn’t their fault Jotaro happened to walk in at the wrong time! Actually, there was nothing ‘wrong’ about it! And yet the two boys felt their faces heat up in shame. This was going to take a long time to explain…

It started, of course, like many strange stories start. It was just a normal day. Okuyasu, Josuke, and Koichi were walking to school together. It had only been about a minute of conversation before the taller two noticed that Koichi was’t beside them anymore. The two frantically searched the immediate area but ended up finding nothing. They regrouped.

“Hey…Josuke?”

“Huh?”

“You think it could have been…a stand user?” Okuyasu scratched the back of his neck.

“He probably just went to the bathroom…” Josuke figited nervously, “let’s just go. We’re already late,” Josuke returned on his way to school, Okuyasu following close behind, deeply contemplating Koichi's whereabouts. The two had just gotten to the door when something flew from a school window and hit Josuke right on the head, causing him to let out a shrill, “OWWW!” and back up into Okuyasu, who grabbed hold of him by instinct, taking the two of them down.

“Uff! What the hell was that!?” His question was indirectly answered when Josuke rolled off of him with a grunt, holding his head. Warm liquid seeped through Josuke's fingers, messing his treasured hair, “Josuke!!” Okuyasu knelt beside him, finding the object that had hit him. It was a pair of scissors.

“Dammit! I’m bleeding a lot…Oh, when everyone at school sees this-”

“Fuck school! I’m taking you to the hospital! You might need stitches!!” Okuyasu helped him up.

“No way, man! What if they cut off my hair!?” He patted his hair instinctively as he mentioned it, feeling more hot dampness. He groaned, his face scrunching up.

“Fine! We’ll go to your house and see what we can do there.” Okuyasu all but pushed Josuke along.

“Alright…Mom’s out of the house anyways” Josuke sighed.
Once the two arrived, Josuke sat on the couch. Okuyasu searched the house for any items of use and came back with some towels, a bottle of water, and some bandages. At least one of those things made sense…He quickly got to work, pressing the towel onto any blood to soak it up and letting Josuke wipe off his hands.

“Uh…ok…I’m gonna clean it now…” Okuyasu grabbed the water bottle.

“What no way am I doing that right here! You’ll get blood all over the couch and my uniform! Mom will kill me!” Josuke protested, “I’ll sit on the floor or something!” He placed a towel on the floor and removed his uniform, kneeling on the towel.

“Perfect! Now I can rest my legs.” Okuyasu let himself fall onto the cough with a sigh before unscrewing the bottle, “Hold still, ok?” He pressed a towel to Josuke's forehead and poured water over his wound before patting him dry. By now, his friend's hair was a mess, “Time for bandaging…” he mumbled to himself. He went to grab the bandages, but noticed they weren’t where he’d left them, “hold on…”

“What’s the hold up?! I’m almost completely naked here!” Josuke complained.

“G-give me a second! I’m not ready! Ugh…I lost the thing…”

“Check between the cushions, maybe?” Josuke suggested.

“Ahem!” another voice cleared its throat, but the two didn’t hear.

“Oh, ok! Hmmm…” Okuyasu forced his head between his hands as they pried open the cushions.

“Oku! My head is throbbing! Can we please just hurry this up?” Josuke pouted, sticking out his lower lip.

“Josuke!” the voice boomed. This time, both boys heard it and flinched, turning their heads to see Jotaro standing in the doorway, bearing an unreadable expression that was half-hidden by his hat.

“J-Jotaro!? What are you doing here?!”

“I noticed your front door was left open and thought something had happened…Now I see that I should have just closed it…” he looked away. That’s when realization hit the two young boys…A messy-haired Josuke, wearing nothing but boxers, kneeling down in front of a flustered Okuyasu, surrounded by towels…

“W-wait a second! This isn’t what it looks like! I swear!” Josuke blushed.

“I was just helping him with something!” Okuyasu added, unhelpfully. Jotaro just shook his head and turned to leave.

“Good grief…Koichi was right to be worried about you two…”
