Standing against injustice
I grew up in a home where i was taught to respect the law, to abide by the rules. To respect those who has to uphold the law. I had a disagreement with my mother regarding the rules of lockdown.Me claiming the irrationality of most rules.My mother saying that we still need to abide by it. So my entire upbringing rests on that respect.
The problem I am faced with today as I am watching the videos streaming in with protests surrounding the tourism industry.
I cant help but wonder if I am still carrying the correct view. For citizens to abide by rules promulgated by the current governing body,surely one could expect that those rules be applied fairly to all citizens.
During the Lockdown we had protests by the taxi industry that literally closed down main highways..The end result being that government adhered to their demands,as irrational as it may seems. Then...
