CHAPTER 3
SCENE 1
At Elizabeth's s house- morning.
It is the funeral.

PASTOR
: (Stops the song, he pray) In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. God have mercy on your child and welcome her into the kingdom of heaven. Forgive the sins she has committed in the world. (He take the water and pour it into the coffin) Let the light shine upon you and live an eternal life.

PATRICIA
: (crying) Ma don't leave me, please wake up.

(Monica and Terence comfort her)

TERENCE
: You are our friend, we love you. Everything is going to be alright.

MONICA
: Be strong, we are here to comfort you, always trust God.

(Patricia ignore them, and goes to the coffin)

PATRICIA
: (She is trying to open a coffin) Why are you doing this to me?

(Monica grab her)

MONICA
: (Pull her aside) What is wrong with you? I am talking to you, have you lost your mind?

PATRICIA
: Go away from me, I need Ma right now.

TERENCE
: Wait, my girl, Monica is trying to comfort you here, stop this madness

(Patricia leaves them there, and clears the crowd)

BRIAN
: (Shout at Patricia) Hey! Stop humiliating yourself!

TERENCE
: (Aggressive) We will beat you, you little girl.

(Patricia leave, people chase her and they shout at her)

SCENE 2
At the park- Afternoon.
Terence and Monica are laughing, watching the video on the phone sitting in a park.

PATRICIA
: (She approach, very angry) What are you laughing at?

TERENCE
: (Surprised) What on earth is this? My goodness!

PATRICIA
: You laugh at me when I approach you guys.

MONICA
: Have you lost your mind? What did you smoke? You need to rest.

PATRICIA
: (Aggressive) You have gone mad! I don’t need to rest, do you think I am stupid? You are busy watching me.

(Take Monica's phone and smash it)

MONICA
: (Angry) What the hell are you doing? You are going to buy it. You have gone mad!

PATRICIA
: You are watching my 'video' recording. Accept and speak the truth.

TERENCE
: Hey, what are you really talking about?

PATRICIA
You watched my 'video' recording on social media when I made the scene at home, (they laugh) it's funny I see.

MONICA
: Do you want us to cry? Stop it, Patricia, please.

(Patricia slap Monica on the face)

TERENCE
: (Angry) What are you doing? You hurt her, I am going to teach you a lesson.

(Terence slap Patricia)

PATRICIA
: What are you doing? Look what you have done, you slap me?

TERENCE
: (Angry) Listen here, we were watching 'Tom and Jerry', make sure you leave us before I slap you again.

(Patricia leave)

SCENE 3
At Elizabeth’s house - day
Patricia is alone, her grandma is away from home. Her mother had been buried for a week.

PATRICIA
: Father God, I still need my mother. The time has come to follow Mama. (She drink the poison)

(Minutes later, her grandmother and uncle find her lying on the ground)


BRIAN
: Patricia! Patricia wake up? Oh my God!

SHUNTELL
: Call an ambulance, act quickly.

BRIAN
: (He picks up the phone, calls the Ambulance) I need emergency help, my daughter drank poison. The house number is 656 Mandela Park.

SHUNTELL
: (Holds Patricia) What do they say, Brian? Help, my granddaughter is dying.

BRIAN
: They are on their way, calm down.

SCENE 4
At the hospital – afternoon.
It's in the hospital, Brian and Shuntell are worried.

SHUNTELL
: Oops! My granddaughter caused the issue.

BRIAN
: Don't worry, everything will be fine. All we have to do is to trust God.

SHUNTELL
: I hope so, God will help her. (Doctor arrive)

DR DANIEL
: Hi, how are you doing?

BRIAN
: We are fine, so how is Patricia's situation?

DR DANIEL
: Patricia is in good condition, we have managed to gutter the poison.

SHUNTELL
: Thank you so much for helping my granddaughter, I am very grateful she is alive.

DR DANIEL
: What I am happy about is that the poison is no longer in her body. She may be discharged after days.

BRIAN
: Doctor, I'm glad to hear that, doctor can we see her?

DR DANIEL
: Yes, you can see her.

IN THE HOSPITAL WARD

SHUNTELL
: Patricia, why did you do something like this? Do you know how much I and your uncle love you? But see what you did.

BRIAN
: Calm down, thanks to God the poison is no longer on her body.

SHUNTELL
: I understand that Brian, but what she did is against God. This kid has done a bad thing.

BRIAN
: As I said, don't do this to yourself. Patricia needs therapy.

SHUNTELL
: Let us pray: 'God, please heal my granddaughter, God get rid of these bad thoughts on her, amen.’

SCENE 5
At Elizabeth’s house - day
Patricia is being discharged from the hospital, she is staying with her family at home. It's noon.

SHUNTELL
: I'm glad you came out of the hospital. (Patricia stare at her)

BRIAN
: Patricia, can't you see that your grandmother is talking to you? (Patricia stare at Brian)

SHUNTELL
: Hey, don't look at your uncle like that.

BRIAN
: This girl smoked something. You have gone mad.

PATRICIA
: (Angrily) Am I crazy? I'm not crazy! (Point a finger) You are the one who is mad.

SHUNTELL
: Hey you! What is wrong? Gosh!

PATRICIA
: I want my Mom, I want her back in this world. I miss my mother's love.

BRIAN
: (Surprised) What kind of love do you want? We love you, we are also angry about how your mother died. I hope your father will die there.


SHUNTELL
: Don't do this to yourself, we can do everything to give you happiness.

BRIAN
: This is madness, I do not understand you.

PATRICIA
: (She stand on the chair) Look here, I am going out. I need fresh air. (She goes out)

SHUNTELL
: Brian, Patricia needs urgent help, therapy.

BRIAN
: You are right, I should call Sarah.

SHUNTELL
: I don't want Patricia to go mad. Father God is the only one who can help us.
