TOUCHING THE UNTOUCHABLE
27 years ago, a man established a pineapple company in Ghana and a white woman ( expatriate) from abroad to be the administrator of the company, the white woman worked well and controlled everything when the manager was not around.
Some months into her administration as the administrator, she begun to feel bossy and did whatever she wanted, she essentially stopped working and made others do her work for her, she wouldn't respect anyone in the company and used the fucked word in virtually every statement she made towards any staff she had an issue with.
Food that was meant for the staff that had been approved by the management was strangely stopped by her because she said it was too expensive. Nobody liked what was going on in the company and as days went by, staff became angrier.
Employees made their concerns known to the leaders of the Local Workers Union and leaders of the local management employees, they were anxious, they wanted someone to hear their cry and help them. The farm has a population of 250, ninety percent(90%)were local uneducated people from the communities around and thirty percent (30%)were educated also from the same communities.
One day, a staff who had worked with the company for more than 20 years made a call to the owner of the company and told him about every bad thing going on in the company and interestingly he supported his case with evidence,a disciplinary committee was set up by the owner of the company to investigate the contentions and the local management.
A week after careful deliberations by the owner of the company and the local management, decision was made to dissmiss the Administrative Manager.
THE MORAL LESSON I HAVE LEARNT AND EVERYBODY SHOULD LEARN FROM THE SITUATION IS SIMPLE; WE HAVE TO BE BOLD AND STAND FOR OUR RIGHTS AND EVERYBODY AROUND US UN THE RIGHT WAY.
