UNFORTUNATE LUCK
Christiana was in high spirits after she won herself the best Political science student at the University of Cape Coast. Her heart was filled with overwhelming joy as she drove along the Adisadel road around 11 O'clock pm, with her stupendous awards behind her. In high euphoria she rattled songs of joy in relief of her complicated consequences, burning the midnight candle to win herself such a noble prize. In the midst of her celebration along the way, her phone rang. She picked it up quickly, anticipating for congratulatory wishes from friends but it was rather unfortunate. On the phone was a strange mascular voice, informing her about the admission of her fiance at the hospital after a fatal accident (was a prank from a friend). Her heart sunk within as her tremendous joy was substituted by immense sorrow. She quickly reversed and drove speedily beyond normal acceleration toward the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. On her way, her father called innumerable times but she drove in deaf ears and angrily switched off her phone. She reached her destination as early as possible after covering a twenty minutes drive within five minutes. She swung her thin legs into the hospital curiously and entered the emergency ward in search of her fiance. She was told to wait behind as the burning anxiety within her continued to tear her heart apart. She sat down on the floor hopelessly in an ocean of tears and valley of grief. She eventually switched on her phone to call the doctor. Calls from her brother beeped continuously and she angrily picked it up, insulting whoever was on the phone. 'He informed her about the death of her father after being murdered by Christy's fiance. According to him, Francis, Christy's fiance was caught by their father, messing up with recalcitrant women at the restaurant. In order to prevent Christy's father from letting the cat out of the bag, Francis murdered him'. She realized her mission at the hospital was totally ambiguous. She fell on her knees and wept mysteriously. In fact, she wept bloody tears.
Her heart was broken and her soul was distorted. Her attention to her father could have played a vital role in the beginning rather than risking his life. On the radio was the announcement of her awards, followed by the death of her father. She was in deep dilemma and mental captivity.
Prayer was eliminated in the commencement of the whole misfortune. Her decisions were taken abruptly, disregarding the need to cry before God. I guess if she made God her priority instead of human, she wouldn't have found herself in such a hopeless mess. Ah well, only God can save her now!!!
