In the foot prints of BUDDHA Chapter1
Chapter- 1 The Buddha and Nirvana

According to the Buddha, all phenomena have neither self nor possessions of life. No matter how things transform, their essence is always empty. I have learned to experience the existence of infinity and not to make any assumptions. I wish to follow his teachings and to abolish the existence of hypothetical matters in my life.

Here, I have learnt about NIRVANA: which means to resolve the ultimate afflictions and suffering in our lives and to attain the perfect happiness that resides the truth. Nirvana is a place of perfect peace and happiness like heaven. It is a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire nor sense of self and the subject is released from the Karma and the cycle of death and rebirth. It is a state that is very hard to describe with words. It carries the meanings of extinction, cessation, non-birth, inaction, peace and joy, liberation and death. It connotes the elimination of Karma of birth and death, transcendence of birth cycle, perfection of wisdom and virtue and achievements of an eternal, quiescent, steady and joyous state of liberation. Such a state can only be known by sacred beings. It cannot be measured with concepts such as present, absent, coming and going. It represents the final goal of Buddhism and an unfathomable state of liberation.

According to Buddhist sutras, a single realm contains three thousand chiliocosms and there are immeasurable Buddha realms. The Buddha affirms that "All phenomena are consciousness only." He says- "There's neither arising nor ceasing, no coming or going." He teaches us- "All things arise from Dharma realm." Every thought embraces an infinity that runs from the past through the present to the future. Buddhism is the teachings based on his realistic understanding of life and universe. The Buddha is an awakened one, who has attained full enlightenment regarding the truth about life and the universe.

According to the Dharma(teachings of Buddhism), all living beings have Buddha-nature equal to that of Buddha. The Buddha taught people a way to achieve full of liberation without renunciation. The Buddha vowed, "I will not rise from this until I have attained supreme enlightenment." One of the seven treasures of Chakravartin is the chakra or wheel. It can break mountain rock and cannot be impeded. Buddhism uses the chakra as a metaphor to indicate that the Dharma can cut through the hardened negative Karma and afflictions of sentient beings.

The three Gems- Awakened one, Gem of the Dharma, Gem of the Sangha, can lead people to cease evil and accomplish good, to free themselves from suffering and obtain happiness. They're rare and precious. Taking refugee means to turn towards and rely on completely, spirit and body. Those who have taken refugee in the Three Gems are Buddhists.
