I do not believe
In love that is
adoring in diffident,
in the trapping of quietude,
in the cage of reticent,
in tender throbbing
of silent yearning,
nor to muzzle the
echo of
our souls’ melody just
because of the
fear of rejection
or betrayal
or even of the self
of not good enough;

I do believe though,
that love is complicated
in its own mysterious ways

but
we just have to be
open to find
the way to
make it
uncomplicated
& still
have the touch
of mystery to it —
.

At some point of my life I never thought love could speak indifferently atop the tongue of what’s meant to be affectionate but this has been the greatest lesson to which I understand completely on how some love will come with conditions tied to its bonemarrow & that was something it can’t be helped with—
